Collected data

Data such as name, beekeeper registry number, email, app usage data, and, as optional data, address and tax ID may be collected. In normal platform use, operational and financial data entered by the user may also be recorded, including apiaries, hives, activities, treatments, costs, revenues, agenda items, apiary-level synchronized weather forecasts, fire-risk alerts linked to apiaries, document exports and, in the yellow-legged hornet module, capture records, nests, coordinates, photos, and related observations. When the user uses visit recording, the application may also process the audio file, technical metadata about the recording, the linked apiary identifier, the transcription status, and the transcript text generated from that audio. For strictly statistical and product-improvement purposes, the platform may also produce aggregated usage records by page, feature, locale, and approximate country or region, without storing IP addresses, persistent identifiers, email, submitted content, exact coordinates, or any other element used to directly identify a visitor or user. When the user asks for Augusto's help, the data strictly necessary for the request may also be processed, such as locale, request timestamp, user identifier, email, the content of the submitted message and, when needed to answer weather or fire-risk questions, the coordinates and identifier of the relevant apiary.

Purpose

Data is used exclusively to support app operation and beekeeping activity management, including technical record organization, indicator production, report and document generation, synchronization of weather forecasts and fire risk per apiary, creation of operational alerts when relevant conditions exist, including daily alerts while that preference remains enabled, automatic sending of operational documentation or product-update emails while those preferences remain enabled, optional use of artificial intelligence features when explicitly enabled by the user, storage of apiary visit audio, and generation of transcripts to support technical recordkeeping and later review. Anonymous aggregated usage metrics, when present, are used only to understand which pages and features are most used and the approximate geographic distribution of visitors and users.

Cookies and local storage

The app does not use advertising, tracking, or profiling cookies. The user's browser uses strictly technical mechanisms required for app operation, including local storage and IndexedDB to keep preferences and technical state such as the selected language, dismissal of the cookie notice, session inactivity tracking, interface panel state, and, in the mobile version, offline snapshots, local sync queues, and pending audio uploads. The platform may also collect statistical usage metrics in aggregated form and without persistent identifiers, without relying on dedicated tracking cookies and without storing IP addresses or other direct identifiers. When the user chooses to sign in with Google, an OAuth flow with Google and Supabase Auth is started; in that context, the browser may receive or send technical and security cookies from those third-party services to maintain the authentication session, validate requests, prevent abuse, and complete the sign-in redirect. Those cookies are not used by the app for advertising or profiling, and their names, duration, and domain may vary depending on the provider and browser configuration.

User rights

Under GDPR, users may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and, where applicable, data portability. Users may also withdraw optional consents at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal, and may lodge a complaint with the CNPD.
