Follow these good practices to get clearer transcripts and better separation of observations.

- Clearly identify the hive before starting the observation.
- Always use the same way of identifying each hive.
- Make a short pause before moving to the next hive.
- Speak naturally, but clearly.
- Avoid several people talking at the same time.
- Reduce, when possible, the noise from the smoker, wind, machines, or vehicles.
- Repeat important information when you feel the recording may not have captured it clearly.
- Always review the transcript before saving the records.
