How should I interpret the risk scale?

Understand what the different levels shown in risk analyses mean.

Content

The risk scale presents, in a simple way, the potential need for attention. Its exact meaning can vary depending on the type of analysis.

  • Low risk: at that moment there are not enough signs to justify special concern, while normal monitoring continues.
  • Moderate risk: there are some factors that justify closer follow-up.
  • High risk: there are several favourable factors and it may be advisable to reinforce monitoring or bring forward a visit.
  • Very high risk: the situation deserves priority attention and field confirmation.

The indicator should be read together with the apiary history, recent observations, and the beekeeper's own experience.
